Man, summer is almost in full swing around here. The kids only have two weeks left of school. We’re in the 80s almost every day now. Traffic has been cut in half. One of the advantages (and disadvantages of living so close to the shore) is that after Memorial Day half the population moves to their beach house. That’s an exaggeration, and I know there’s still a few weeks left until the official beginning of summer, but it feels different around here.
I’m definitely in summer mode in the mornings at least. All I want to do is sit on the deck in my pajamas while I drink coffee and read the paper, but that’s not quite reality just yet. We need to get some new deck furniture and we need school to end. Give me some slower mornings, and I’m a happy man.
What I really need to work on though is getting up early to hit the gym. I’ve been struggling with getting in for months, and it’s killing me. On the one hand, I don’t want to get up at 4:30 am. On the other hand, I want my clothes to fit. What I probably need to do is start sharing more about getting up early on my Instagram stories. A little accountability goes a long way. But enough rambling. Here’s a few things to keep you busy while you sit on your deck in your pajamas drinking coffee.
I really need a linen suit to style like Brian does!
I think I’ll be checking out The Intruder after reading Bilge’s review.
Be sure to check out Brooks Brothers’ summer suit event this weekend.
