Fall Wardrobe Must-haves for 2015

Posted on October 14, 2015November 9, 2017 By Drew

Fall Wardrobe Must-haves for 2015 Fall Wardrobe Must-haves for 2015

I’m a little late with my fall picks this year, but since we’re still hitting the seventies here, I figure I have time…

I love the fall.  The crispness in the air, the smell of burning leaves, the beauty of the changing foliage.  This is, without a doubt, my favorite time of year.  However, dressing during autumn can be tricky.  Winter is cold; summer is hot.  Picking clothes during those seasons is relatively easy.  However, this week, while the days are running in the seventies, the mornings and nights are getting down to the forties, and that’s the trouble.  How does one head out the door in the morning prepared for that chilly, coffee-necessary reality that summer is over, while still able to handle the warmth that’s going to come after lunch?

There are quite a few articles out there on the style and/or fashion aspect layering your clothes for fall, but the truth of the matter is that layering is incredibly practical too. In fact, layered outfits developed out of necessity, not style.  The trick is looking good when you un-layer too.  With that in mind, I’ve put together some of my favorites for this season.

Jacket: J. Crew ┃┃ Sweater: J. Crew ┃┃ Denim: J. Crew

Jacket: Barbour ┃┃ Sweater: Brooks Brothers ┃┃ Jeans: Levi’s

Socks: Woolrich ┃┃ Boots: Joe’s ┃┃ Shirt: Twillory

If you’re following any of the same men’s style accounts on Instagram that I am, your entire feed is currently dominated by Pitti Oumo 96. Pitti has quite possibly become the biggest menswear event on the planet, and I’m feeling a lot of FOMO right now. Fortunately, I am able…

The leaves are budding, the flowers are blooming, and everything is green. Spring is here, right? Time to break out those polo shirts and linen trousers, right? Not quite. For me, I tend to find spring a bit chilly, especially on those cloudy, rainy days. Sure, there’s been a day…

Transition Clothes from Summer to Fall

Done. I am done with summer. Last week’s heat wave was my breaking point. Throw on top of that a beautiful reprieve this weekend with temps in the 70s all weekend (60s at night), and I’m so much happier. I’ve always been a colder weather guy. I run hot, and…
