Fall Wardrobe Must-haves for 2015

Posted on October 14, 2015November 9, 2017 By Drew

Fall Wardrobe Must-haves for 2015 Fall Wardrobe Must-haves for 2015

I’m a little late with my fall picks this year, but since we’re still hitting the seventies here, I figure I have time…

I love the fall.  The crispness in the air, the smell of burning leaves, the beauty of the changing foliage.  This is, without a doubt, my favorite time of year.  However, dressing during autumn can be tricky.  Winter is cold; summer is hot.  Picking clothes during those seasons is relatively easy.  However, this week, while the days are running in the seventies, the mornings and nights are getting down to the forties, and that’s the trouble.  How does one head out the door in the morning prepared for that chilly, coffee-necessary reality that summer is over, while still able to handle the warmth that’s going to come after lunch?

There are quite a few articles out there on the style and/or fashion aspect layering your clothes for fall, but the truth of the matter is that layering is incredibly practical too. In fact, layered outfits developed out of necessity, not style.  The trick is looking good when you un-layer too.  With that in mind, I’ve put together some of my favorites for this season.

More Fits Than You Thought You may not realize this, but both Ralph Lauren and Brooks Brothers each have four fits in production for one of their signature items.  For Brooks Brothers it’s their line of dress shirts, and for Ralph Lauren it’s the polo shirt.  Yes, yes, I know…

How to Style the Beckett Simonon Black Valencia Wholecuts

*Disclosure: Beckett Simonon provided the Valencia for this post. My opinions are my own.* There is a counterintuitive rule in menswear, which usually holds true. The less adorned something is, the more formal that piece becomes. Consider the black tuxedo, one of the most formal things a man can wear….

Spier & Mackay Sweater Review

I think sweaters are the ultimate pairing of comfort and style. I don’t need to wear a restrictive button-up shirt underneath if I don’t want to. Even when I do, I leave the top button unbuttoned. I can even escape the choking neck tie if I want to. Of course,…
