The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opened to the public on Friday, and if you’re like me this was your first chance to shop it. The first week of the sale was shoppable only by Nordstrom credit card holders. After seeing what was available, I can tell you I will definitely have a Nordstrom Card by next year’s sale.
What’s so great about this sale, and what makes it so unique is the volume and newness of available clothes. Most sales are held, not surprisingly, to blow out old product before the new stuff comes in. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, however, offers significant price reductions on the new Fall clothes. Once the sale is over, prices are then raised to full retail. So not only are you getting some really fantastic deals, you are also buying clothes that you can use immediately or in the near future. I have to hold most of my sale purchases until the next year what that season rolls back around.
Since I wasn’t able to shop the sale until Friday, I was able to get a fresh set of eyes on the still available merchandise. I spent Friday running through everything on sale, picking out the items I loved, and then pulled together the ones that still had good selection of sizes left. I would guess, with some quick math, that most of the discounts run between 30% to 35%. I highlighted my favorite twenty below with links to each. I would also suggest taking a look at the Canali suits. They’re pretty pricey, so I didn’t include them in this graphic. But if you’re in need of a new suit, the discount is superb.
