It has been a rough couple of weeks. Between getting ready for Christmas, having the kids home on break, and trying to keep the house as organized as possible, I haven’t had much time for anything else. By the time I got the kids in bed every night, all I wanted to do was crash into my chair outside and enjoy a cigar and some tv. But if you’re ready my post from Thursday, you’ll know I’m working on getting some work done BEFORE I relax for the evening. I have to push myself to do the things I want to do, even if they’re not the most fun at the time. So, I’m here, sitting in a coffee shop, typing this on my phone, so I can edit it and add links later. Not ideal, but if you wait for ideal, it will never come.
I want to touch again on something from the other day. My use of twitter. I really think I was dangerously close to becoming a Twitter troll this past year. I replied to too many tweets with sarcastic comments, got too caught up on the current trending topics of the day, and lost sight of building a community. Does this mean I’m never going to write something funny or sarcastic on Twitter? No, but I have to do it in moderation. The goal should be connection, not snark.
After sitting on this blog for more than a month, I’ve built up quite the stash of great articles from the worlds of style and fashion. So take a look below, find a few that interest you, and let’s keep this 2020 train rolling!
Food was a big challenge for me this year. I’m taking some advice from The Post.
I love a good sweater! I think Chris Evans made everyone love them this year.
Shop my favorite here!
A casual tie? Absolutely!
I only use Saphir on my shoes. This factory visit story was fascinating!
Pick up some for your own shoes here!
Very Ralph was awesome, but so is the story behind it!
Cheaney is one of my favorite shoemakers. I think their value to cost ratio is exceptional. Drapers thinks so too!
Don’t forget Cheaney’s winter sale is still going on!
Do you brush your clothes? George makes a strong case for doing it.
I’m not a millennial, but I’m certainly showing every one of these movies to my kids!
Especially this one!
And if you’re looking for a list of movies for adults, you could do a lot worse than this one.
I had a friend tell me the other day he was looking to try more cigars in 2020, Bespoke Unit has you covered.
