Did you ever have one of those workouts that just messed up your brain for the rest of the day? That was me yesterday. My box programmed “Danny” for us yesterday, and it just destroyed me, even though I only went through about two and half rounds of it. My normal day usually begins with a 4:30 wake up, followed immediately by a meditation session, then a 5:30-6:30 workout. This typically sets me up pretty solidly for a day of productivity and focus. Yesterday though…man, yesterday was rough. I was cooked. Physically, I was fine, not too sore or exhausted. But mentally, I was gone. My wife needed me to help hang a picture, and I must have dropped the mounting screws like twenty times. My fingers just wouldn’t respond to what my brain wanted them to do. Needless to say, today’s going to be an off-day from the gym.
Of course that’s doesn’t mean it’s going to be a slow day. We are going to soccer practice, taking the kids to see “Storks”, and trying to find some time in there to celebrate our wedding anniversary from this past week. Ok, enough about my Saturday though. Here’s a few things to keep you busy on yours:
I’ve been struggling with figuring out what to wear during the time between summer’s end and the colder days of fall. Ryan had some great ideas to help.
I love this shade of green!
I came across two great articles on shoes this week. One from He Spoke Style and one from Art of Manliness.
These quotes speak to my soul (even if I don’t always follow them). Thank you for putting this together, Barron!
Lots of green today, but these cords are perfect for fall too.
Looking for a new aftershave this fall? The Close Shave has highlighted four fantastic ones here.
Bel Ami is such a wonderful fall fragrance; a soft leather suitable for most occasions.
Wondering if your style is a passing fad or one that’s here to stay? The Dappered Team has your answer.
How great is this tie for stepping up a business casual look?
While polo shirt season is winding down in 2016, this discussion on He Spoke Style should not be missed! And, yes, I’m aware that’s two HSS articles this week, but I think they’re both really good.
