Today’s review comes from a much different company, a burgeoning New York based startup named after Beau Brummell, the 18th century male style icon who influenced politics and fashion with his own personal attention to grooming and dress. Can you imagine if Beau Brummell was alive today? His Instagram feed would be required reading.

There are few brands with as much history as Floris. Founded in 1730 in London by Spanish immigrants, this iconic British perfumer was supplying Londoners half a century before the United States even existed. Last June I wrote a post on five areas of your style in which you can save money. So, I figured this June I would touch on the five times where I recommend splurging. I don’t think that price necessarily equates to quality. However, I do believe that in these five areas, when you bump your budget a bit, the return value justifies the purchase price.
Weekend Reading
It’s been a pretty mild week. I watched a terrible movie. Soap Commander re-opened for business (Congrats!). It rained too much. I think the most exciting thing this week was that insane first lap of the Spanish Grand Prix! But other than that, not too much happened around here. I’m thankful for weeks like these. They’re few and far between, but usually much needed when they do arrive. We’re watching two family dogs this week, so that means five dogs total here, plus two kids, plus two adults. We needed an easy week to manage all that. It looks like this weekend is more of the same, so here’s a few things to get you started on a relaxing few days.
