Oh man it was pretty chilly today! This shawl collar sweater kept me warm though. Layered with one of my favorite OCBDs underneath, I had to keep my self cooled off when I went back inside. I spent most of the day running errands, and the freedom to pop in and out of the car without worrying about grabbing a jacket, putting it on, taking it off, etc. was a treat. This sweater and shirt combination was enough to keep me toasty during my journeys with temps in the mid 40s. A shawl collar is also a fantastic way to add a little extra flair to a cold weather outfit without hunting around for scarf or bundling up into too many layers.
I know there’s a huge, currently running trend right now focusing on layering for fall. In fact I’m even a proponent of it. But sometimes I just want to throw on a pair of jeans and a sweater and get on with my day. A shawl collar sweater like this adds some uniqueness without weighing you down too much. On a Movember side note, how is everyone doing with No Shave November? I’m struggling. I want to shave so bad, but I’m pushing myself  to the end of the month. Not sure how well that’s going to go over at Thanksgiving, but we’re about to find out. I don’t think it will be too bad, but if anyone is itching for a quick family photo, the beard might not be the most welcome guest.
