Just over a year ago I received a sample that changed the way I thought about shaving products, specifically aftershave balms. I’m talking about the Soap Commander “Courage” aftershave balm. If you know me or read this blog, you know I always prefer products with matching scents, so it should be no surprise that I picked up a tub of the “Courage” shaving soap too.
Chilly Spring Days
It’s been a strangely cool spring around here. I think March was actually nicer than May, but that may have simply been my perception coming off a chilling winter. I think spring is always remembered warmer than it actually is. How many people go away for Memorial Day only to wish they brought a sweater and not their swimsuit?

Movie Night: “Wings” (1928)
Kicking off my journey through the list of Best Picture Winners is 1927’s “Wings”. Until 2011, this was the only silent movie to win Best Picture. Silent movie is a bit of a misnomer though, as this movie has soundtrack playing throughout the feature. The story revolves around two small-town rivals, the local rich kid and the average Joe, both in love the same woman and who flying against the Germans in World War I. This was the first time I had seen this movie.
