Monday’s downpour reminded that those rainy fall days are coming. I love autumn, but I struggle with dressing stylishly for the rain. I can never seem to find a middle ground. I love my double breasted trench coat, but it’s not always the right option. I think it works best with a suit (even though I’ve work it with jeans). My other regular option is my Patagonia Torrentshell. It’s wonderful in the rain, and it doubles as my winter snow jacket when I wear my down sweater underneath. But there has to be something in between the two.
Today I wanted to put together two looks using a simple Mackintosh rain jacket. A Mac is a perfect way to bridge that gap between formal work wear and outdoor functionality.
