Well, it’s that time of year again. Holiday parties, eggnog, mistletoe, ugly sweaters. Wait, ugly sweaters?! Yes, unfortunately, this new trend is taking the country by storm, and it cannot be stopped. So I won’t even try. Don’t get me wrong, I like the idea that ugly Christmas sweaters exist, and I like the fun associated with an ugly holiday sweater party where everyone wears the most hideous Christmas sweater they can find. I just don’t want to own one. I think the fun is in discovering that someone else actually owns one of these sweaters, and you are able to borrow it for a night of fun. I don’t think it’s fun to have someone else tell you that your sweater is so ugly they just have to borrow it! Additionally, you will probably be invited to a lot more parties, this year and in the future, where ugly sweaters are not part of the suggested attire.
Of course, you want to display your holiday spirit and not be that boring guy who dresses the same way as every other day. The important thing with Christmas attire is to be festive without being Buddy the Elf. So, keeping that in mind, I’ve put together a variety of different holiday sweaters for you.
I decided to not include any manufacturer, store or price information intentionally, so you could shop totally on style and taste. If you are interested in a sweater, simply click the picture to get more information. This is just a curious experiment to see if people prefer shopping this way not allowing brands and labels to cloud their judgment. Please let me know what you think! On a side note, my favorite sweater here is the second lowest in price.
As always we love to hear from our readers. Please let me know any thoughts you have on these sweaters as well as any other holiday attire comments or questions. You can comment here or reach out to us on social media using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+.
