Jimmy Choo Man Intense EdT

Jimmy Choo Man Intense Eau de Toilette Review

Posted on September 23, 2016May 1, 2018 By Drew

A few weeks ago I published my review of the Jimmy Choo Man Eau de Toilette. When I received my bottle for the review, the folks at Jimmy Choo were kind enough to send over a pre-release bottle of the Jimmy Choo Man Intense EdT too. Released just this September, I wanted to hold off on my review until this cologne was actually available for purchase. I know I get bothered when I see someone (maybe a blogger) recommend a product that isn’t yet available. I’m not an impulsive shopper. I like to do a fair amount of research before I buy something. But when I’m ready to buy, I need that product to be available; whatever it is. Anyway, the Jimmy Choo Man Intense EdT is available now, so let’s talk about it.

I want to get one thing out of the way first. I was surprised to find this is an Eau de Toilette, not an Eau de Parfum. In my experience most fragrances with the “Intense” moniker are EdPs. I don’t have a problem with this, it’s just a name. But I wanted to make sure people knew this is an EdT.

This cologne opens with some light melon and sweetness. I don’t think the top notes are as fruity as Jimmy Choo Man, and I don’t think the opening lasts as long either. This fragrance quickly gets right to the heart notes,.

After about twenty minutes I found the scents had shifted from the initial melon to a softer, light leather. I know leather isn’t listed in the fragrance notes, so I assume this is some play on the patchouli. Several hours later the powdery, leathery note remained, but it was joined by some fresh woods. I really enjoyed both the middle and base notes of this cologne. That’s not to say I disliked the top notes. But I think the top notes were my least favorite part. Moving quickly into the richer scents of this EdT was really pleasing. I could easily pick up those notes of this cologne between six to eight hours after application.

I think this is a perfect fragrance for fall. The Jimmy Choo team definitely picked the exact right time for a release. While reminiscent of summer during the opening, the darker scents trickle in over time while wearing this. Just like fall. I would lean towards recommending one wear this during the day, but I won’t rule out evening wear either. Jimmy Choo Man Intense EdT is a cool-weather crowd pleaser, and I definitely recommend it.

Tcheon Fung Sing TFS “Corte Sabauda” Shaving Soap and Aftershave Review

Posted on October 4, 2016October 4, 2017

The “Corte Sabauda” sandalwood is a new variation to me. This is a sweet, creamy sandalwood, which is why I like it so much this time of year. I think the fragrance can shine on warmer days and hold its own when the mercury drops. I would enjoy this fragrance any time from March through November.

The Great Razor Blade Experiment It’s finally here.  I mentioned my plans for this experiment a few months ago, and I finally have everything in place.  Starting this week, I’ll be running a ten-week experiment testing ten different razor blades.  Before I get into the details, I want to just…
