Recently, I was given the opportunity to review some of the ELEMIS luxury skincare products, and I jumped at the chance to try them out. I had already known ELEMIS was a high end, British-made, grooming line, but I wanted to know for myself how well they worked on a man’s skin. That’s the real blessing and curse with skincare, what works for one person doesn’t work for another. We all have to find our own regimen that works best for our skin. Simply because something is advertised for a man or a woman, that doesn’t mean it will work for all men or women. That being said, I needed to know. How would ELEMIS’ products work for me?
ELEMIS Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm ($64)
This was the first time I had used a cleansing balm, and the process was a little different. Starting with dry skin (no water first) was new to me. The balm felt slightly greasy and thinned as I rubbed it in. I was not very sure this would clean my skin at all. Well, folks, let me tell you, I was completely wrong. This cleansing balm is exceptional. Sure, it takes a little getting used to at first. Once I realized how easy it was, I was hooked. This was actually simpler than wetting my face, dripping water everywhere, and then washing my face. The results were fantastic too. My skin was clean and smooth and not oily at all. I think a lot of guys might not be used to a product like this, but it’s definitely worth a shot to see if it works for you.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30 ($128)
Every good day starts off with some moisturizer with SPF. Unless you want to look like that guy in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade after he drinks from the wrong cup, you need some SPF in your life. Protecting our skin, especially our faces, is crucial as we get older.I really liked this morning moisturizer because it was light and the SPF blended easily and thinly. A simple step to take care of my skin in the mornings.
ELEMIS Dynamic Resurfacing Pads ($59)
Think toner, but simpler. No splashing. No spilling. Just a pre-moistened pad with exfoliants to finish up a face wash and make sure no extra dirt or oil is left over. If I’m going to use a moisturizer or face oil at night, I’m going to make sure there are no grimeys left to get trapped under and cause breakouts. These pads were the perfect way to make sure that didn’t happen.
ELEMIS Superfood Facial Oil ($55)
I know, I know. For years we were all told that oil was bad for our skin. I mean, if my skin is oily, why do I want to put more oil on top? Because this oil is designed to feed and moisturize our skin, not clog our pores. And I am not kidding you, for the first time ever, I can honestly say that my skin was glowing. I never understood that phrase until now. It never looked healthier than after I had applied and rinsed off this facial oil. If you’ve never tried facial oil before, give it a shot. This was a very pleasant surprise for me.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Eye Revive Mask ($82)
Don’t let the name fool you. This isn’t a face mask, this is an eye cream (just not a cream, it’s a balm). I’ve repeatedly asked on Instagram if you all have tried eye creams/gels before, and the answer is almost always no. If you’re going to add one product to your nighttime skincare routine, an eye product has to be it. I’m telling you, you won’t believe the difference they can make. This one is one of the best I’ve ever used. I’ve never seen quicker results. In just a few days I looked less tired and more fresh around my eyes. I highly recommend this product.
Overall, I was taken by surprise how well these ELEMIS products worked for me. I knew the company had a rock-solid reputation, but I thought they might not be able to tackle my tough combination skin. I was certainly proven wrong, and I can’t say enough good things about these products. I absolutely recommend trying ELEMIS the next time you’re looking for some new skincare.
