This event usually comes around twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. The thing I really like about these events is that even new products are on sale, not just old stock that Brooks is trying to move through. So you can pick up items for the upcoming season, not just the one that recently passed. If you’re in the market for a new suit, sport coat, shirts, trousers, basically anything, now is the time to shop and buy.
It’s no surprise that Brooks Brothers is one of my all-time favorite brands. I think they are the quintessential American brand, with exceptional quality, value, and tradition. However, I think some people have this image that they are exclusively a “New England prep” brand. I don’t think this is true at all. I would describe Brooks Brothers as more “European prep”. Sure you can still go in and find a blue blazer with gold buttons or those iconic tan gabardine trousers, but there’s so much more these days.
Brooks has been adding and experimenting with plenty of new fabrics and colors in their tailored clothes and shirts. Their cuts have been refined to suit (no pun intended) a wide variety of body types and looks. I’ve even been seeing more variety in pockets (patch vs. flap). All of these new changes have me very excited about the future of Brooks Brothers.
