Blueprint 3-Day Cleanse: Day 3

Posted on April 3, 2016November 14, 2017 By Drew

Blueprint 3-Day Cleanse: Day 3 Blueprint 3-Day Cleanse: Day 3

Ok, here it is. Day 3 of my 3-day cleanse. Let’s get this started. If want to see how I got here, read day 1 here and day 2 here.

6:15 am

I wake up hungry and thrilled this is the last day. I have nothing inherently against this cleanse, but I’m looking forward to some solid food again.

8:00 am – Juice #1

This juice tastes as good as the first one yesterday. I think I’m getting used to it. It really doesn’t taste that bad. I think the biggest obstacle is the greenness. Only 5 more to go!

11:00 am – Juice #2

This one keeps gets better and better. I wonder what it is that causes their tastes to change over the three days. I’ve heard of people’s tastes changing over long periods of diet change, but I wasn’t expecting this. My biggest issue now is whether to start eating tonight after my last juice or to wait until tomorrow morning.

2:00 pm – Juice #3

This time is probably the best this juice has tasted. The apple is shining though and the greens have faded. I’m focused on finishing up

You know how it is waiting for something you really want to arrive or driving to vacation? Today is like that. It seems to be taking forever.

4:00 pm – Juice #4

Oh sweet, sweet spicy lemonade. You’re my friend. My comfort. My sugary spike that gets me through the day. This is my favorite part of the day. I’m definitely struggling, but I’m going to see this out.

6:00 pm – Juice #5

If this was day 3 of a 7 day cleanse, I’d be fine. But since this is day 3 of a 3 day cleanse, in done.

I’m going to finish, but I’m so ready to be done.

8:00 pm – Juice #6

Done! I’m happy I finished. Do I feel healthier? Yes. Was it challenging? Yes. This was a great way to kickstart some healthy eating. I don’t know if I’ll make this a regular semi-annual event or not. I’d rather focus on healthier eating so I don’t feel the need to re-boot my eating. I hope you enjoyed this day-by-day account.

Regards,

What Next?

Posted on November 11, 2016

Since Tuesday’s election, I’ve really been struggling to justify this blog. How can I write about things that seem so trivial like men’s style and grooming when there are much more serious issues at play in our world? Let’s face it, what I write about is rather superficial. I’ve spent…
