I’m really torn over Black Friday. On one hand, I’m against the idea of buying something simply because “it’s a good price”. Closets are full of clothes bought on sale they their owners never wear. On the other hand, though, I love the idea of adding value to one’s wardrobe when the opportunity presents itself. So, please know that I AM NOT advising you to buy everything you see that’s on sale. You will probably regret half of it. BUT, if you have already been looking for something, take a peek at these sales. They may have just what you need, and the price will absolutely be better than you would normally get.
Spier & Mackay (20% off everything with code BF2020)
Spier & Mackay is already one of the best values in menswear, add another 20% on top of that and I don’t think you could find better quality for the price if you tried. I’m especially partial to their sport coats and suits.
Brooks Brothers (50% off everything)
This is insane. 50% off everything online? I don’t think I’ve ever seen this from Brooks. Their sweaters fit me perfectly, and I love their luxury shirts. If you have something that you love from Brooks Brothers, this is a great time to shop.
Sid Mashburn (Tiered Discounts)
I only recently “discovered” Sid Mashburn this year. I’m already obsessed with their OCDBs and I’m looking forward to trying one of their sport coats in the coming year. And this waxed cotton jacket is my new go to outerwear for warm weather.
Meermin (Tiered Store Credit)
Meermin doesn’t do sales, aso any sale from them is something to be taken seriously. Store credit is certainly an unusual approach to Black Friday, but these tiers are impressive. I know I’ve bought more than one Meermin shoe in the past, and, based on my most recent purchase, I’m sure I’ll use the credit in the future.
Beckett Simonon (25% off everything)
Another discount that I haven’t seen before, and probably won’t again. This is already on their (very real) supply-chain-based discounts. If you are looking to get started in the world of stitched sole shoes (i.e. Blake, Blake-Rapid, and Goodyear Welted), Beckett Simonon is a perfect place to get started with their classic lasts and quality leather. Additionally, I love Beckett Simonon’s commitment to ethical business practices.
Attorie (20% off everything with the code BLACKFRIDAY)
My friend Claudiu started this men’s accessories brand last year offering handcrafted Italian ties and scarves for incredibly reasonable prices. If you’re looking to support a small business this year, but don’t want to sacrifice on quality or value, Attorie is an excellent option.
The Rake (Up to 50% off)
While The Rake sale was already running, they reduced some prices even further and added some brands for Black Friday. The Rake is an incredible all-in-one shopping destination, and sale prices enable value-based shoppers like me to grab some high quality items that might have previously been beyond my financial reach.
If you have any other sales that you think I should add, please let me know. I won’t add just anything, but if I think the sale is offering a real value, I’ll be happy to include it!
