Tailor and Barber Readership Poll

2019 Tailor & Barber Readership Poll

Posted on January 19, 2019January 18, 2019 By Drew

I once worked for a restaurant group whose motto was “feedback is the breakfast of champions”, which they originally got from The One Minute Manager. I used to think this was stupid, nonsense, corporate-speak, but the funny thing is…it’s true. The only way to get better is to be completely open to people telling what you can do better. This does not mean that they are always right or that you have to implement every change someone suggests. What it does mean is that you have to be open to it. You have to consider what they are telling you. You have to step back, remove your emotions, move past your first reaction, and sincerely take the time to think through what they are saying.

With this in mind, I’m asking for your help. I want 2019 to be the year Tailor & Barber really moves towards what I envision it can be, a style and grooming resource for guys who don’t want to mortgage their house to look good. But I need your assistance. I want your feedback…all of it…the good and the bad. I’m hoping you will take this short survey to help me get to know your interests better, and to help me make Tailor & Barber better. (It’s totally anonymous by the way, so be as honest as you want.)

If you have any questions about this survey please head over to Instagram or Twitter and shoot me a DM to let me know! I also want to give a shout out to my friend, Steph, over at The Diary of a Debutante, who helped me so much in coming up with the idea for this. She’s been such a help over the years with my blog too!

Thank you for taking the time to answer the survey. It means so much to me that you would take even a few minutes of your day to give me your thoughts. I’m looking forward to a great 2019, and I can’t wait to see where this year ends up!

How Do I Stay Organized?

Posted on April 17, 2015November 13, 2017

We’re all busy.  The last two weeks have been killer for me.  With the kids coming off Spring Break, dogsitting, and our babysitter out for two weeks, my wife and I are struggling just to catch up.  When things get this chaotic, ideas and plans can get lost in the…

Why Is Ryan Lochte Getting Killed in the Press AND What Can You Learn from Him?

Posted on August 25, 2016November 15, 2017

One of the biggest stories this week revolves around U.S. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and his actions during The Games in Rio. Yesterday, a friend asked me why I thought the story had gotten this big and why was Lochte getting hammered as hard as he is.

My New Year’s Resolutions for 2017

Posted on January 4, 2017October 4, 2017

Normally I’m not a big fan of New Year’s Resolutions. I believe if you want to make a change, it’s better to simply start than to pick some arbitrary date and wait for it to arrive. However, I can appreciate the concept of having some sort of delineation between old behaviors and new. This year, though, I got myself into a pretty lazy rut over the holidays.
